When you move out or hand over your home, you can transfer your LOQED Touch Smart Lock to the new owner. There are two ways to do this, depending on whether your lock is online (connected through a LOQED gateway and Wi-Fi).
When the lock is online: share an administrator key with the new owner (recommended – no reinstallation needed).
When the lock is offline: reset the lock and install it as new.
Option 1: Share an administrator key (when the lock is online)
Every administrator of a lock can create and delete keys. If you are currently the only administrator, you can create a new administrator key and hand it over to the new owner. The new owner then removes your access, so ownership fully transfers to them.
Steps
In the LOQED app, create a new key and give it administrator privileges.
Share this key with the new owner.
The new owner accepts the key in their own LOQED account.
Once the new owner has admin access, they remove your key (the previous owner) from the key list. This revokes your access. The LOQED Touch Smart Lock is then automatically removed from your account.
⚠️ Important: the lock must be online for this method. You need an active LOQED gateway with a working Wi-Fi connection, so the changes can be sent to the lock. If your lock is not online, use Option 2 below.
Option 2: Reset and reinstall the lock (when the lock is offline)
If there is no online gateway or Wi-Fi connection available, the best option is to reset the lock and install it as new. After resetting, all keys and settings are removed, and the new owner can install the lock on their own account.
Steps
Press and hold the reset button on the lock for a few seconds.
Follow the installation steps to set the lock up as new.
For detailed reset and reinstallation instructions, see Reconfigure the lock.
Good to know: installation can be done without internet access. In that case, only the person installing the lock at that moment has access – via Bluetooth on their phone, or via a PIN code if they choose to set one during setup. A gateway and Wi-Fi can be added later for remote access.
Which option should I use?
Your lock is online (gateway + Wi-Fi): use Option 1 – share an administrator key. This is the easiest and keeps the lock installed.
Your lock is offline (no gateway or Wi-Fi): use Option 2 – reset and reinstall.
