My LOQED lock does not open or close all the way

Troubleshoot incomplete locking or unlocking on LOQED Touch and LOQED Pure, including calibration, door alignment and lift-to-lock situations.

Applies to: LOQED Touch Smart Lock and LOQED Pure. Where the models differ, use the model-specific section below.

Start with the door open

Always test with the door open first. If the lock works with the door open but not when the door is closed, the problem is usually door alignment, latch pressure or the mortise lock, not the motor itself.

Recalibrate the lock

  • Run calibration again in the LOQED app.

  • For lift-to-lock handles, lift the handle before calibrating if that is required for your door.

  • If calibration gets stuck, check whether the cylinder screw or mounting screws are overtightened.

LOQED Touch checks

  • Check that the inside handle and spindle parts are installed correctly.

  • If the lock needs two attempts to lock, recalibrate with the lever lifted.

  • If batteries are low, replace or recharge them before troubleshooting motor strength.

LOQED Pure checks

  • Check that the Pure motor module is correctly engaged with the cylinder tail.

  • Make sure the cylinder fixing screw is not overtightened and the cylinder rotates freely.

  • Recharge the built-in battery pack if battery level is low.

Door and frame alignment

If the hooks, latch or deadbolt rub against the frame, adjust the door or strike plate. Seasonal temperature changes can also make a door bind. A locksmith may be needed if the mortise lock itself is worn or stiff.

Contact LOQED support if the motor still cannot complete the movement with the door open and the battery is charged.
