Battery life depends on the model, battery type, door resistance, temperature, connection quality and how often the lock is used.
LOQED Touch
Typical battery life is about 9 to 12 months with 8 good-quality alkaline AA batteries under normal use.
LOQED Touch can also use supported rechargeable Ni-MH batteries with the LOQED PowerKit.
Use alkaline AA batteries if you are not using the PowerKit. Zinc-carbon batteries are not suitable.
A stiff door or cylinder can make the motor work harder and reduce battery life.
LOQED Pure
LOQED Pure uses a built-in rechargeable battery pack, not 8 AA batteries.
Typical battery life is about 7 to 12 months under normal use.
Recharge the battery pack with the included power adapter when the app reports a low battery.
If the battery is completely empty, use the included 9V backup power cable to wake the lock temporarily.
Tips for both models
Keep the door and cylinder moving smoothly.
Avoid unnecessary repeated lock/unlock tests after installation.
Make sure the bridge or gateway connection is stable so the lock does not waste power reconnecting.
