It depends on your LOQED model.
LOQED Touch
The LOQED Touch Smart Lock ships with 8 alkaline AA batteries. These included alkaline batteries are not rechargeable.
Replace them with good-quality alkaline AA batteries when they are empty.
Do not use zinc-carbon batteries.
If you want rechargeable batteries, use supported rechargeable Ni-MH batteries with the LOQED PowerKit.
With the LOQED PowerKit, you can charge the supported rechargeable batteries without taking them out of the LOQED Touch Smart Lock. You connect the LOQED power adapter and start charging from the LOQED app.
LOQED Pure
LOQED Pure ships with a built-in rechargeable battery pack (ICR18500, 11.1 V, 2400 mAh). This battery pack is rechargeable by default.
Recharge LOQED Pure with the included power adapter and 3 meter cord.
Do not insert 8 AA batteries into a LOQED Pure. Pure uses its own rechargeable battery pack.
If the Pure battery pack is completely depleted, use the included 9V backup power cable to temporarily power the lock and then recharge the battery pack.
Summary
Touch: included 8 AA alkaline batteries are not rechargeable. Rechargeable operation requires supported batteries and the LOQED PowerKit.
Pure: included battery pack is rechargeable and is charged with the included power adapter.
