The LOQED Touch Display is the exterior-facing component that provides the touch interface and LED display for PIN input. This guide will walk you through safely replacing this component.

Required Tools
Before starting, ensure you have the following tools ready:
Hex key (included with your LOQED lock)
Screwdriver
Step-by-Step Replacement Instructions
Step 1: Remove the LOQED Smart Lock from Inside
Start by disassembling the lock from the interior side of your door:
Remove the inner door handle - Use the hex key to carefully remove the inner door handle.
Remove the aluminum cover - Take off the aluminum LOQED cover.
Remove all batteries - Take out all 8 batteries from the battery compartment.
Remove the plastic cover - Remove the black plastic cover around the knob.
Disconnect the cable - Carefully disconnect the colored display module cable from the motor module.
Remove the enclosure - Unscrew the full LOQED enclosure from the door.
⚠️ Important: Be careful to support the external hardware so it does not fall when you remove the enclosure.
Step 2: Remove the Cylinder
Next, you'll need to remove the door cylinder:
Locate the cylinder screw - Find the single cylinder screw on the side of the door (usually located below the deadbolt).
Remove the screw - Carefully remove the cylinder screw.
Remove the cylinder - Turn the cylinder slightly by hand, then gently pull it out.
Step 3: Replace the Touch Display
Now you can replace the actual Touch Display component:
Remove external hardware - Remove the external hardware from the outside of the door.
Unscrew the old display - Unscrew the display unit from the external hardware.
Install the new display - Mount the new Touch Display and secure it properly with screws.
Step 4: Reassemble the Lock
Finally, reassemble everything in reverse order:
Reinstall the cylinder - Reinsert the cylinder and tighten the cylinder screw securely.
Reattach the enclosure - Reattach the LOQED enclosure to the door.
Reconnect the cable - Reconnect the display module cable to the motor module.
Replace the plastic cover - Reinstall the black plastic cover around the knob.
Insert batteries - Insert all 8 batteries into the battery compartment.
Replace the aluminum cover - Replace the aluminum LOQED cover.
Reattach the handle - Reattach the inner door handle with the hex key.
Testing Your Installation
After completing the replacement:
Test the touch interface functionality
Verify Bluetooth connectivity
Test PIN input on the LED display
Ensure the lock operates smoothly
