Shared key opens in a browser instead of the LOQED app
Shared key opens in a browser instead of the LOQED app
Updated over a year ago

If you tap a key link (https://app.loqed.com/importkey... or https://app.loqed.com/urlkey...) it automatically opens the LOQED app to import the key. If this link opens in a webbrowser instead, then the key will not be imported. Read the article below to make sure the link will open your LOQED app and your key will be imported successfully.

General

  • Make sure that you have installed the LOQED app on your smartphone.

  • Make sure you are logged into your account in the LOQED app. (Otherwise the app will open, but the key will not be imported succesfully)

    • If you haven't registered an account within the LOQED app, please do so before trying to import a key.

  • Send the link through a different messaging app. Some apps don't support opening links with the LOQED app, such as Facebook Messenger. Most apps, like Whatsapp (after you've added their contact info to your contact list), or e-mail apps usually work fine.

  • Wait 1 hour, restart the smartphone, reopen the LOQED app, and try again.

Android

  • Go to "Settings" -> "Apps" -> "Set as default" and enable the toggle "Open supported links".

  • Go to "Settings" -> "Apps" -> "Set as default" -> "Supported web addresses" and enable 'app.LOQED.com' on.

iOS
For iOS there are no specific settings. Though be mindful of the points noted in "General" above.
